3D films and their History
1924, Film Advertising. This Card was given
out to advertise several movies in 1924 by First Nation Pictures, 'The Sea
Hawk', 'Flowing Gold', 'The Woman On The Jury', 'Sundown', 'Lillies of the
Field', 'A Son of the Sahara', also 'Hamilton & Cristie Comedies. If you
click on the thumb nails above and look at them with RED
or Blue glasses you will see the images change.
This was not true 3D, but it uses the same principle.
3D audiance
Various 3D Glasses from the museum collection.
Early 3D used red and blue glasses to give the desired effect. This was OK for black & white movies and TV, Dr Land invented, Polaroid Glasses and these are used for color 3D.
